Whether it's a song, a style, an idiom or an image, Duke Robillard will render it with mastery, power, nuance and an unerring grasp of its essence. Duke has carved out one of the Blues' most illustrious legacies. He founded Roomful Of Blues with pianist Al Copley in 1967. He replaced Jimmie Vaughan in The Fabulous Thunderbirds in 1990. He recorded on Dylan’s “Time Out Of Mind” and later toured with him. He also has toured with Tom Waits and Robert Gordon. Duke's prolificity has included producing albums by Joe Louis Walker, Jimmy Witherspoon, Jay McShann, and Otis Clay. Another highlight of Duke’s is recording two collaborations with Herb Ellis.Duke's resume is decorated with Grammy nominations, Handy Awards and Blues Music Awards, and other honors for his artistry, recordings and productions within the United States and internationally.
The clock struck 11 PM at Elvis Presley’s Los Angeles mansion. Under the glow of red and blue lights, The Beatles stepped into a room that seemed to echo the future of music—a jukebox, a crescent couch, and a bar set the stage. Elvis stood at the center, ready for the convergence of two worlds. That night, rock ‘n’ roll royalty sealed its legacy.

“He’s a cross between Elton John (in that he sings and plays the piano) and Robin Williams (in that his comedy is off-the-wall). His show is packed with comedy, visual musical impressions and favorite Broadway songs, wrapped around some of the most exciting piano playing and audience participation that you will ever witness.”
